How To Add A New Website To Google Analytics

How To Setup Google Analytics For A New Website

If you have a new website and want to track its performance, adding it to Google Analytics is a great way to keep a tab on its traffic and engagement. Here is how to add a new website to Google Analytics:

1. The first step is to create a Google Analytics account if you don’t have one already. Go to analytics.google.com and sign in with your Google account. Click on ‘Sign up’ and fill in the details of your website, including name, URL, industry category, and time zone.

2. After filling in the details, scroll down to ‘Data sharing settings’ and enable or disable the options as per your preference. Click on ‘Get Tracking ID’ and accept the Terms of Service. You will then be redirected to a page that will display your unique tracking code.

3. Copy the tracking code and paste it into the header section of your website’s HTML code. You can either do this manually or use a plugin or extension that simplifies the process.

Once you have added the tracking code to your website, Google Analytics will start tracking its performance. It may take up to 24 hours for the data to start showing up in your account. You can then analyze the data to understand your website’s traffic sources, user behavior, and other valuable insights. Make sure to set up goals and events to track your website’s conversions and engagement with your audience.
